The Chief of Police serves as the chief executive officer of the police department, responsible for overall department administration, establishing law enforcement policies, managing the operating budget, and overseeing operations to ensure public safety in compliance with Indiana law.
The Assistant Chief of Police supports the Chief in directing daily operations, overseeing administrative functions, managing specialized divisions, and assuming command of the department in the Chief’s absence.
